Why Dignity In Practice Matters
Across Australia, practitioners, leaders and organisations are seeking ways to strengthen responses to violence while ensuring responses remain grounded in dignity, accountability and social justice.
Dignity in Practice 2026 brings together practitioners, policymakers, researchers, government representatives and community leaders to engage in a sector-wide conversation about how we respond to violence and adversity.
At a time when Western Australia is advancing implementation of the Code of Practice for Specialist Family and Domestic Violence Services, this symposium offers an opportunity to explore how Response-Based Practice can support dignity-centred, violence-informed and evidence-informed practice across services and systems.
This is more than a professional development event.
It is an opportunity to reflect on current practice, deepen understanding and explore ways we can strengthen responses to victim-survivors while creating lasting change across our sector.
