FDV Training Courses for Community Groups

This is a skills-building training to help prevent FDV, where participants learn about the impacts of FDV, the gender drivers that cause it, and how we can all contribute to preventing it.

A practical ‘recognise and respond’ training designed to build confidence in identifying signs of FDV and responding safely and supportively.

Participants will develop a strong understanding of what FDV can look like, the impacts it has on individuals, families, and the community; and will be equipped with the knowledge to respond safely and supportively.

Following the training, participants will be able to recognise when someone may be experiencing FDV and respond with clarity, confidence, and compassion.
The training emphasises trauma-informed approaches that uphold dignity, enhance safety, and strengthen the well-being of victim-survivors.

A short training focusing on the pattern of behaviours used by perpetrators of FDV to dominate, isolate, and intimidate victims.

This training shines a light on the often subtle, yet deeply damaging, tactics of control that underpin perpetrator abusive behaviours.

Through real-life scenarios, discussions, and reflections, participants explore how coercive control operates, why it is hard to recognise, and how it may be experienced. Participants will learn to identify red flags, understand the impact on victims and consider safe, supportive ways to respond.
