A Year of Impact, Innovation and Advocacy

On October 20, we held our AGM and released our 2024–25 Annual Report, marking a year of significant milestones, deep reflection, and continued commitment to supporting victim-survivors of family and domestic violence (FDV).

The Annual Report captures our journey through to our 40th anniversary year, highlighting both the challenges faced and the transformative work achieved across its programs and services.

Over the past year, Zonta House supported:

  • 2,130 individuals through 387 workshops
  • Provided 13,967 nights of safe accommodation
  • Expanded our delivered to 14 specialised programs tailored to the diverse needs of victim-survivors.

Key achievements include the launch of our inaugural Reconciliation Action Plan, the celebrated F Word event, and the development of a new 2025–2030 Strategic Plan.

The report also describes piloted innovative programs such as the Lived Experience Advocate Program, Waves of Wellness and expansion of Diversity and Inclusion initiatives to better support LGBTQIA+ individuals and people living with disability.

Also discussed are the systemic pressures impacting FDV services, including housing shortages and cost-of-living challenges, and calls for continued investment and reform.

Insight from Chairperson Melanie Hay, CEO Kelda Oppermann both emphasise the importance of lived experience, collaboration, and innovation in shaping Zonta House’s path forward. A report from and Treasurer David Hickmott outlines the financial sustainability managed and sought to continue to fund important services into the future.

We invite you to read and understand more about the lived experience of victim-survivors, the services and programs that support them, and learn more about the dedication of our incredible staff.
