Christmas Support 2020

Thank you to all of our amazing and kind supporters for your generosity over the festive period.

Zonta House supported 209 women and 235 children and we were unable to do this without each and every person who took the time to donate food, gift vouchers and gifts.

2019/2020 Annual Report

On Monday 26th October 2020, the Zonta House Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held at our Head Office in Willetton.

This was attended by 28 Members, Committee Members, Staff and Supporters.  We welcomed Chantelle Thom, Existing Committee Member as our new Secretary with Anne Sibbel  stepping down from holding the position for the past 4 years.  Anne will continue to be a member of our Committee.

The AGM was also the launch of the  2019/2020 Annual Report

There are a few new inclusions to the report this year with a focus on our amazing team and a timeline of events over the last 12 months.  We thank our supporters for their ongoing support and contribution to safety for women and their families experiencing family and domestic violence.

If you have any questions or concerns please contact Ella Kent Communications and Engagement Officer on 1800 870149 option 7 or via email [email protected]

Positive Pathways Update

Update from Kelda Oppermann, CEO

Update – 17th March 2020  COVID-19

“Our priority is ensuring our staff are well, the women we work with are safe and well and we support the community during this time to manage the pandemic. We consider the continued operations of our services to support women at high risk of harm as essential. Additional to the advice from the state and federal government we have put in place internal controls to attempt to minimise the impact of COVID-19.

We are concerned about the impact the pandemic and potential self isolation may have on people experiencing or at risk of family and domestic violence in their own homes and urge people to seek support and refuge if you need too. We also ask friends, family, neighbours and colleagues who are concerned about someone to please continue to reach out and offer support. We plead that perpetrators or people at risk of perpetrating do not choose abuse or use violence and choose to seek help and support.

Additionally, we are regretfully unable to accept any donation drop offs to any Zonta House site at this time. Should we need any urgent support from the community over the coming weeks we will let you know.

Thank you for your cooperation and continued support. We hope everyone is able to follow the advice and guidelines provided by the relevant state, federal governments and medical professionals” – Kelda Oppermann CEO
